01Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Ömer Albayrak, trading as Crystal Fruit Studio (“we”, “us”), for your use of the Aligned Future Self iPhone app and this website (together, the “Service”). By downloading, installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission. The app is licensed to you subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple EULA”), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. If these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA governs the license to the app itself, and these Terms govern everything else.

02What the Service does

Aligned Future Self guides you through reflective questions, generates a “Future Profile”, suggests daily actions, offers a chat with a simulated “future self”, and tracks your progress. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription (see “Subscriptions”). We may add, change or remove features over time.

03Not professional advice; AI content

• Content is generated in part by artificial intelligence. It can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. The “future self” is a simulation of a possible version of you — it does not know the future and is not a real person.
• You are responsible for your own decisions and for how you use suggestions. Use judgment, especially for anything involving health, money or relationships.
• If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or others, contact your local emergency services (for example 112 in Türkiye and the EU, 911 in the US) or a crisis line right away. The app may show reminders like this if it detects distress, but it cannot monitor or respond in an emergency.

04Your account

You can start as a guest. An anonymous account is tied to your device and app installation; if you delete the app or lose the device without signing in with Apple, we may not be able to restore your data. You can sign in with Apple to back up and restore your account. Keep your Apple ID secure — you are responsible for activity on your account. You can sign out, reset your journey or delete your account in the app at any time.

05Your content

You keep ownership of what you write in the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process and display Your Content — including sending the relevant parts to our AI provider — solely to operate and provide the Service to you. We do not use Your Content for advertising and do not sell it. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy.

You confirm that Your Content is yours to share and does not violate anyone’s rights or the law. Please do not include other people’s private information or anything you would not want processed.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or defraud others;
• attempt to bypass usage limits, security, subscription checks or App Check protections;
• reverse engineer, scrape, resell or copy the Service or its outputs at scale, or use it to build a competing product;
• probe, overload or interfere with our systems, or submit content designed to manipulate or extract the AI’s instructions;
• use the Service for automated bulk requests or by means other than the app’s official interface.

We may apply rate limits, and may suspend or restrict access that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or endangers the Service or others.

07Subscriptions and billing

Premium features are available through auto-renewing subscriptions purchased in the app: yearly ($49.99 per year), monthly ($19.99 per month), weekly ($7.99 per week). Prices are shown in USD here and localized in the App Store; the price shown at purchase applies, and may vary by region and change over time (we will honor the price you accepted for your current period).

• Payment: charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Managing and cancelling: in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions (or Profile → Manage subscription in the app). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
• Free trial: if a free trial is offered to you (for example on the yearly plan for new subscribers), it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. A trial can be used once per Apple ID.
• Refunds: purchases are made through Apple, so refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves, but we will help where we can. Nothing here limits any refund or withdrawal right you have under mandatory consumer law.
• Restoring: use Profile → Restore purchases on a device signed in with the Apple ID used to subscribe.

Subscription status is verified with our billing provider and on our servers. If we cannot verify an active subscription, premium features may be unavailable.

08Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, text, illustrations, prompts and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. Outputs generated for you (such as your Future Profile) may be used by you for personal, non-commercial purposes.

09Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple), Google (Firebase), RevenueCat and Anthropic. Their services are subject to their own terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Apple EULA, and Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance, support or warranties; questions and claims about the app should be sent to us at the address below.

10Changes, suspension and termination

We may update the Service or these Terms; for material changes we will give notice in the app or by another suitable means, and continued use after the effective date means you accept them. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service; where practical we will give notice and, for a paid period we cannot honor, a pro-rata remedy as required by law.

11Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI-generated content, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not promise particular results from using the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us through the App Store in the 12 months before the claim and (b) USD 50. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct.

13Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts where those laws allow. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
